New Year... Stepping It Up A Gear!

Well, what a year last year was. Our 35th birthday celebrations truly went with a bang, with crowds at record levels throughout 2015! So many highlights to pick out, too many for this editor to put into a short blog without turning it into an essay!

Stereophonics and The Libertines playing to jam packed, sold out crowds is surely up there though, that goes without saying. But who could also forget Royal Blood, HIM, The Vaccines, The Wombats, New Model Army, the Charlatans, and many more. Oh, and did someone say TWO days of Frank Turner, as his self confessed 'favourite venue'?!

A huge shout out also to local talents Saint Raymond, who played back in February, and Ferocious Dog, who played just last month. They both sold out our Main Hall, the latter being the first independent unsigned act to ever do so. A huge mention also to hugely talented local act Indiana, who played to a packed crowd in her maiden show in the Main Hall. We salute you guys and girls, we are proud of the immense talent the local scene just keeps on delivering!

Speaking of local talent, who could forget Jamal Sterrett going viral and then global after performing an impromptu dance on our steps, followed by a performance infront of over 1000 people on stage at Tuned the following evening?!

2015 is gone... a fresh, but fading memory. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to each and every one of you incredible people who came to Rock City in 2015, it's you who make it special, and we couldn't do it without you.

In comes 2016. And you'd better believe that we are up for doing it all over again!!! If you think it will be difficult to top the year we had for our 35th birthday,  you'd better believe we are up to that challenge!
