Harrisons – Monday’s Arms
Posted by AlMachine on Friday, February 16, 2007

Now that things have calmed down and we have finally settled into 2007 it is time to see who will be the bands to watch and who will be the bands not to. Unfortunately for Harrisons however they have been given an unfair disadvantage. They have the “they are from Sheffield” label about them.

‘Monday’s Arms’ is the title Single of Harrisons debut album and proves worthy. The thing about these guys is that they have that extra spark! Harrisons have squeezed together a style that of music that is pure madness, their style is Disco meets Indie The thing that makes it absolute mental is that if you really loathe say Disco, it matters not because the other more than compliments the other.

The thing is that the so-called B Side could be a Single in it’s own right! This track to me actually separates the men from the boys, the same upbeat feel, but when you actually listen to the dark lyrics! You listen intently to the story that is coming out of Jubbys mouth is mind blowing. Listen to a murder of young girl that was found in the woods. Now the expectation has increased for the album.
