Parka – Better Anyway

Parka are set to release their new Single “Better Anyway” and are tipped to be one of the success stories of 2008. Parka strike the iron why it is hot on the back of their debut release “Disco Dancer” and their last Single that some people seem to have forgot “If You Wanna?”

Lead Singer Matt Thompson and gang continue with there mauling of producing upbeat catchy, high energy filled songs. With “Better Anyway” Parka seemed to of emulated the Pigeon Detectives style of producing catchy sing a long tunes, which lets face it on the back of there success this has to be a positive thing.

Parka are one of those bands that don’t really have any unique sounds, but what they do they do is simple and they seem to pull it off with ease. What these guys don’t have in the shape of originality they have so much more in enthusiasm and energy.

It’s always nice to see bands that bang out upbeat records get recognition, we seem to be a society who love all the depressing James Blunt style music. We need more bands like Parka to produce there own kind of sunshine onto the UK, because lets face it there’s not much around.
