The Shortwave Set – No Social

They sound like a collective with the choir like feel to the delivery; it’s very catchy and pitched somewhere between ‘The Polyphonic Spree’ and ‘The Arcade Fire’ but with a slight 60’s tinge. Most noticeable is that this rather sunny single has been produced by ‘Danger Mouse’ of Gnarls Barkley fame! The remixes featured here have a slight leftfield trip hop feel to them; and this whole package (particularly the rather ‘plinky’ b-side ‘White Lie’) certainly adds to the anticipation of their forthcoming album.
