The Pigeon Detectives – This Is An Emergency

Like Arctic Monkeys, The Pigeon Detectives have wasted no time in getting to work and releasing album Number Two. Before that formality though it is always the return single, that little sneak preview of if a band have bottled if and gone for radio friendly rubbish or if they have stuck to there guns and gone the same way as their debut album.

“This Is An Emergency” is the new Single to come off album number two from The Pigeon’s and you could say that in some ways they have played it safe, I mean fans already know this song from seeing the band live. You could say that it’s a bit of a kop out or very clever by keep TPD faithful waiting to hear the new material? Hopefully this is the road that The Pigeon Detectives are going take which is basically just keep on churning out addictive sing a long tunes for everyone to lap up. No doubt they will be massively busy this year doing their own tour and probably performing at as many festivals as is humanly possible!

Lets hope there is more to come from this Yorkshire lot!
