Goldfrapp – Happiness

An outstanding follow up to previous single ‘A&E’, this is light and breezy, there’s a ‘Beatles’ influence to this uplifting poppy electronica. It’s a perfectly crafted tune that has a wistful feel about it. This is one of those songs that you notice instantly, and it will be a song whose lyrics will slowly start to mean different things to different people; it’s that recognition song. After its three and a half minute duration, Alison’s vocals left me with a warm haunting glow. Perfect!
