Pennywise – Reason To Believe

SoCal punk rock to listen to on your skateboard down at the park. There is a big dollop of Bad Religion here, (having signed to guitarist Brett Gurewitz's label Epitaph, the home of American punk it isn't a big shock) and that pretty much describes the sound and look of Pennywise. They can rightly consider themselves veterans, yet they have never really hit it big like The Offspring, Greenday or Rancid. Thankfully there isn't much ska here on offer which seems to masquerade as punk in so many places. All in all this is full of spiky distorted guitars and thought provoking lyrics.

An honest effort and not too bad if this is your cup of tea
