Hadouken! – Declaration Of War

What is this trend with bands incorporating punctuation marks into their name? Does this mean I’m listening to ‘Hadouken a statement of intent?’ because if that’s the case it’s certainly doesn’t pass over into their music. All the beats and 80’s synths have actually tamed what should have been a decent rock record. You can feel it dying to be unleashed; but in trying to be musically trendy, all that’s happened is the musical power has been diluted! Declaration of War? Unlikely – this is a do-gooding pacifist lost in a war zone!
