Martha Wainwright – Bleeding All Over You

This is an excellent slice of strummed folk; it’s emotional slow burning heartfelt and dramatic. (Would you expect anything less from the sister of Rufus Wainwright?) It’s also far more ‘sing-a-longable’ than her previous material; maybe she took a cue from Snowpatrol after that collaboration, and at this point of the review there feels like it should be closed with some pun around the phrases ‘raising the bar’ and ‘setting the fire to the third bar’. But for such a serious artist I refrain!
