The Daves – Not In England

This is a jangly little tune about turning your back on England; it sounds almost identical to the Travis song ‘U16 Girls’ almost to the point that it’s probably an infringement of the copyright laws! The problem is Travis are now out of style, so the Daves (what is it about this bland name? there’s even a TV channel called Dave! Bizarre!) don’t really stand a chance. To be honest this is nothing more than rather buoyant, yet charming, pub-rock!
