Clinic - Do It!

Somewhere along the line Clinic clearly decided to stick to a plan - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Do It! is another classic Clinic album, right down to the warped Velvets-do-a-witch-trial musical aesthetic.
The band’s kooky sound has become as instantly recognisable as their surgical masks, but it is often easy to forget just how catchy it is.

The Witch sits comfortably alongside the Scousers’ finest output to date, while Shopping Bag is the typically thrashy number which always seems to crop up somewhere around the axis of their records.

Do It! won’t win the band an army of new fans, but for the die hards who have been there since the early days it will be welcomed into the family like a long lost relative.
So there you have it. Nothing broke. Nothing fixed. Just more of the same. And that’s no bad thing.
