What do you do once you’ve established yourselves as possibly the biggest electro-pop band in the country? Simple. More of the same I guess…

Okay, so perhaps that’s being a little harsh on Hot Chip. After all, the London five-piece haven’t exactly had an easy ride all of the way since their conception a decade ago. If anything, their perpetual growth culminating in resounding success is a testament to any new group starting out and shows that a firmly driven work ethic pays dividends in the end if the product is good enough.

Of course there are those that will dismiss ‘One Life Stand’ – also the title of their forthcoming long player incidentally – as being “more of the same”, which it very well maybe, but as the saying goes, if it isn’t broken then why fix it? And it isn’t, trust me…
