Exhibit A – Portrait in Rhyme

This is what was formerly known as Nu metal, although there is a bit of an edge For an idea, think of Korn and Slipknot mixed with a dash of Rage Against the Machine and you have the recipe. This can be heard on tracks like Eden Will Die and Personification Of People, and Pools of Broken Glass, could easily be the Deftones. On Conscience there is an element of death metal and thrash to the sound, yet it is with ACCP something new appears, acoustic guitars and clean vocals are used to set the tone of what is a short song, yet a stand out track.
So this album is not particularly bad or particularly good and most of the songs would have been huge in 2001! This is the problem, there is nothing that I haven't really heard before. That said, I reckon Exhibit A are amazing live and that is where you would fully appreciate them.
6/10
