Jim Kroft – One Sees The Sun

There’s a lot of quality musical acts breaking out of Scotland right now, ‘Frightened Rabbit’ ‘The Twilight Sad’ and ‘We Were Promised Jet Packs’ to name but three. So Jim Kroft is Scottish and now based in Berlin, an interesting proposition, can he blend some Kraftwerk into and around, cutting edge Scottish indie? Sadly the answer is No! This is safe middle of the road, and slightly dated. It starts off sounding a little like long forgotten Brit pop band ‘Rialto’, before settling on a pleasant but plodding ‘Crowded House’ vibe! Inoffensive in the worst possible way!
