If you’d like to be in with a chance of getting into these shows, but haven't pre-ordered the album yet then the only way to do so is to pre-order it here, and you'll be given a secret access code for the ticket-buy as well.

Tickets will go on sale exclusively to code holders only on 25th March, at 9am. Codes will go out earlier to everyone who has ordered any product from the store.

FIRST ARTISTS ANNOUNCED FOR DOT TO DOT FESTIVAL 2013

Now in its ninth year, Dot To Dot Festival is established as the UKs best festival for unearthing the hottest new talent around, alongside established acts from all over the globe. Touring Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham, three of the UKs more savvy music cities, from the 24th to the 26th May, Dot To Dot’s ever eclectic line-up, crossing numerous genres is set for its biggest and best year to date.
Dot To Dot Organiser Anton Lockwood (Of DHP Group) said: ‘At Dot to Dot Festival we pride ourselves on bringing you the very best in emerging talent. 2013 is set to be no exception with Dry the River, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Lucy Rose leading the charge. First up for line-up announcements is Dry The River. With their critically acclaimed record ‘Shallow Bed’ the Stratford-based five-piece produced one of 2012’s greatest bodies of work and played countless sold-out gigs throughout the UK. They are set to work on their new record and will surely be one of the highlights of this year’s festival. One of the events finest acts in 2011 makes a welcome return in the shape of Benjamin Francis Leftwich. The singer-songwriter delivered one of the most intense performances in Dot to Dot history. Darling of the NME and Radio 1 Lucy Rose also joins the bill. The indie-folk starlet has wowed crowds all over with her finely crafted, emotive songs that reveal a unique talent for storytelling.
With a sold-out UK tour under their belt recently a band on everyone’s lips are The 1975. Radio 1 A-listers are riding a wave of success spear-headed by the massive single ‘Chocolate’. They are joined by the return of pop noir five-piece Chapel Club. Little Green Cars are one of the most exciting acts from the BBC Sound of 2013 poll and their live performances have drawn heavy-praise from The Guardian, NME and more. Critically acclaimed electronic, pop-funk act Wave Machines have created one of the albums of the year in debut ‘Pollen’ and are an exciting addition to the festival. London-based acid punk band Bo Ningen will also be bringing their incredible live show to the proceedings. Danish sensation MØ is certainly not to be missed. Her layered, gloomy output has had music journalists falling over themselves to sing her praises. Another hyped band on the first wave of acts is Wolf Alice, whose shoegaze inspired songs have received avid support from Huw Stephens amongst others.
Some of the other rising-stars on the bill are New York City’s best new indie band SKATERS, Irish folk-popster Gavin James, hotly-tipped post-punk act Night Engine, Finnish upstarts Satellite Stories, Marc Riley-championed indie band Teleman, brooding Bella Union-signed four-piece PINS, Californian punks The Bots alternative-indie band Story Books and folk duo Golden Fable.
Previous Dot to Dot line-ups have seen performances from The xx, Mumford and Sons, Florence and the Machine, Beach House, Jake Bugg, SBTRKT, Ed Sheeran, Laura Marling, Wild Beasts, The Cribs and many, many more. With the emphasis on showcasing the hottest new talent on the planet there will be lots more exciting additions to be announced for Dot To Dot’s 2013 line-up. Make sure you keep checking the website

Jake Bugg Returns to his Home City to Headline Splendour
Artist of the moment Jake Bugg has been announced today as the headliner for Nottingham’s summer music festival Splendour. Fresh from playing sell out tours around the UK and gigs in Europe and America, the singer-songwriter is relishing the opportunity to play in front of a huge home crowd in Wollaton Park on July 20.
Jake said: “"It's great to be headlining Splendour in my hometown and it'll be my biggest crowd to date. It's hard to believe I was playing the courtyard stage two years ago! Thanks to everyone in Nottingham for their support.”
Excitement is already building for this year’s festival staged by music promoter DHP - working in partnership with Nottingham City Council – as the last 12 months have seen the Nottingham music scene go from strength to strength. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly once they go on sale on Feb 22.
KT Tunstall, Squeeze and Maximo Park are also in the family friendly line up, with several other up and coming local artists playing over the three stages to be announced in the coming months.
DHP and Nottingham City Council are once again teaming up with NUSIC.org.uk, which helps young Nottinghamshire musicians get exposure and experience within the music industry, with a competition for a local act to take the opening slot on the main stage at Splendour.
DHP has supported Jake over the years from his first proper gig aged just 15 to playing Splendour on the courtyard stage and an afternoon main stage slot in previous years, so this year’s festival is a great opportunity to spot the next breakthrough artist.
DHP’s George Akins said: “Jake is literally the hottest new artist in the country by a mile at the moment so it’s a real coup to have him headline the biggest gig in his home city this summer. The whole of Nottingham will be turning out in their thousands to watch the most successful musician we’ve ever had play his homecoming gig at the Splendour festival.”
Aged just 18, Jake has gone from playing an intimate gig at the Acoustic Rooms, the weekly slot for budding amateur artists at the Rescue Rooms, to becoming the first Nottingham artist to sell out the iconic Rock City with his gig tonight (Feb 15) in the space of months. Now Jake is set to bring his precocious talent to the city’s biggest stage in front of tens of thousands at the Splendour festival.
DHP’s Rescue Rooms promoter Ben Ryles remembers booking Jake for that first gig; “It was late 2009. He was 15, so I had to accompany him and make sure he didn't drink anything alcoholic! It was obvious even then that he was an incredible talent.”
Jake went straight to no1 in the album charts with his self titled debut released last year, sold out two UK tours and supported Noel Gallagher and The Stone Roses. He’s playing Reading and Leeds festivals this summer and is also nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at The Brits. Jake signed to Mercury in 2011, and is described by the label as the most exciting new singer and songwriter in the UK.

Rock City, Rescue Rooms and Stealth
These three gig venues, which are all connected to each other, have a lot of music heritage. All the big bands play here. I’ve seen David Bowie, Radiohead and the Chemical Brothers at Rock City and I still go now; I’m seeing Foals play next month. Inside Rescue Rooms, there are walls of vinyl and books and exposed bulbs hanging from the ceiling. I spent a lot of time there as a teenager. We used to go down every Thursday night and see how many girls we could kiss. Every May, there’s a great music festival that takes place across all three venues – the Dot to Dot festival. There’s a great atmosphere – I’ll definitely be there.
