The Villains & Vigilantes Triple Bill Tour, Rock City Basement

  • Saturday 13th October 2012
  • Supported by: Antlered Man + We Are Knuckle Dragger + Romans

An ungodly presence is bubbling up from the UK’s underground - a combined tour that sees Antlered Man, Romans and We Are Knuckle Dragger play the Rock City Basement in conjunction with Hey Hey Hey.
Combined they’ve garnered a ferocious live rep, sharing the stage with Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, ASIWYFA and Lower Than Atlantis. Hotly tipped by the cream of the UK’s Rock Media - make sure you’re around this October to get caught in the crossfire.

Having released debut LP ‘Giftes 1&2’ earlier in the year, the band describe themselves as “fucked up shape-shifting band with lots of punk-ethic goo spattered on top”. This Mike Patton infused, dirty political power-house of a band have garnered a ferocious live rep, having recently toured with Belfast’s AND SO I WATCH YOU FROM AFAR and packing out key shows at THE GREAT ESCAPE/CAMDEN CRAWL. With a busy summer of festivals across Europe including a sold out 2,000 TREES, their jaw dropping live performance is guaranteed to leave the crowd in both shock and awe.

Artrocker - “the first great rock album of the year; by all rights, Antlered Man should own 2012 (album of the month)”
Total Guitar - “the missing link in alt-rock’s evolutionary chain”
Classic Rock - “As heavy as an articulated truck and weird as a funfair”

4 young men from just outside Birmingham, Romans have managed to make a name for themselves in their short time together, due to encapsulating live shows packed with energy, and explosive songs that announce the arrival of a band as young as they are accomplished. Additionally, the group stamped their authority on 2012 early on with the release of their debut EP, ‘Cravatte Nere’;

RockSound - “8/10 They certainly justify the hype, Expect big things, and we will see you down the front.”
Kerrang! - “KKKK! Cravatte Nere is a glorious sounding statement of intent from arguably the most exciting unsigned band in the U.K”

Emerging from the underground scene WE ARE KNUCKLE DRAGGER have just released their Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Helmet) produced debut album, “Tit for Tat”, to follow up on their previous two EPs, which saw them receive wide spread support from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, XFM, 6 Music, Scuzz and other national and local press. Having recently supported the likes of MESHUGGAH and DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN this Newcastle trio have learnt from the best. Holding an underground ethos WE ARE KNUCKLE DRAGGER are now looking to bring it to the next level.

Kerrang! - “anguished and unrelenting stuff”
Terrorizer - “curiously addictive”
RockSound - “glorious sheer fury that cascades through the backbone of their work”
