Lagwagon have been announced as special guests to the upcoming NOFX / Alkaline Trio tour – with extra shows being added due to overwhelming demand.

The punk rock heroes will be hitting eight dates throughout the UK this June and July. On joining the run, Lagwagon’s Joey Cape says: “Hey UK, Lagwagon here! We’re very pleased to announce our participation in the upcoming NOFX and Alkaline Trio tour, we’ll be attending all eight shows so come a bit earlier and hang out with us – Cheers!”

This is the tour that just keeps giving! NOFX and ALKALINE TRIO’s co-headline tour in the UK this summer was already exciting, but today, Academy Events can now announce that special guests for all shows will be LAGWAGON, AND due to overwhelming demand, extra shows will now take place in Birmingham (28th June), Nottingham Rock City (29th June) and Leeds (2nd July). Tickets are selling fast and the addition of these punk rock mainstays to what is already a spectacular bill is going to make for one hell of a show.

2014 was an important year for LAGWAGON and the release of long-awaited album ‘Hang’ was huge for the Californian five piece. The band’s first studio album in nine years, ‘Hang’ is a powerful and emotional record that also saw a new LAGWAGON sound. One thing is for certain, the material was made for the live arena and for a band that once played 284 shows in a year, their performance and energy is a force to be reckoned with.

Joey Cape said: “xxxx”

NOFX have been wreaking havoc on the punk rock scene since they exploded onto it over 30 years ago. Gold records, sell out shows, chart-topping success, their own reality TV show, their own label – Fat Wreck Chords, and Fat Mike has even penned his own rock musical! ‘Home Street Home’, which hit the US stage last month

ALKALINE TRIO are one of punk rock’s most progressive and unique bands and with their infectious punk hooks and darkly dramatic tongue-in-cheek lyrics, Alkaline Trio has created some of punk’s most memorable songs. Frontman Matt Skiba also recently stepped up to join Blink 182 following Tom DeLonge’s departure and he’s been storming stages in the states with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. Their first show together last week at The Roxy in LA was heralded a success as Skiba totally owned stage left!

The eight date tour will tear up stages in Birmingham, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Leeds, with a two night stand in the capital at O2 Academy Brixton, which includes an Independence Day celebration on Saturday 4th July.

Full-throttle fun, wild, loud and totally unmissable; prepare yourselves for NOFX, ALKALINE TRIO and now LAGWAGON, this summer in the UK.
