Haunting, dark. and melancholy are the first words that spring to mind when describing A.A Williams sound. An angelic feminine emotional voice combined with gothic rock elements.
What’s being said about A.A. Williams
“Darkly gothic folk from gritty, introspective singer-songwriter… Even denser than her 2020 debut, As The Moon Rests is thrillingly bleak, but not so bleak there isn’t a crack of light visible at all times.”
– MOJO – 4 stars **
“Atmospheric post-rocker ups the grandeur… As The Moon Rests has all the gravitas of an epic tragedy… Now responsible for two consecutive masterpieces, Williams has affirmed herself as one of the UK’s most compelling solo acts.”
– PROG
“Emotionally devastating and gloriously triumphant… As The Moon Rests retains her previous works’ intimacy while sounding fuller, lusher and altogether mightier… A.A.’s voice glides effortlessly like a snake through pitch-black water: beautiful, supple and unnervingly formidable… A collection that confidently expands her sound and creative vision.”
– Metal Hammer – 8/10
