Aloe Blacc is an american soul singer and rapper.
He started his career in the hip hop duo Emanon.
However in 2003 he began his solo career when he was signed to stones throw records and released his debut album ‘Shine through’ in 2006.
He achieved mainstream success with his single ‘i need a dollar’ which was released in 2010 and has been used on television shows, adverts and video games and peaked in the UK chart at 2. His second album ‘Good things’ was well received in the US and Europe and in the UK album chart it peaked at 8.
