Big Thief are an indie folk rock outfit hailing from Brooklyn, NY. Their eagerly awaited fourth record ‘Two Hands’ will be dropping in October and is hailed as the ‘celestial twin’ to their much-loved third album ‘UFOF’, which received widespread critical acclaim and topped the billboard charts, including a number 1 position for Alternative New Artist Albums, Americana/Folk Albums and Top New Artist Albums.
UFOF was preceded by the albums Capacity (2017) and Masterpiece (2016), both of which appeared on album-of-the-year lists, including those of Bob Boilen of NPR – ‘I don’t recall the last time I had the same band in my top five albums for two years in a row. But this year’s Capacity (my No. 1 album) and last year’s Masterpiece (my No. 4 album) did just that.’ SPIN named Capacity #2 on their “50 Best Albums of 2017”,[12] citing the band’s “open engagement with anguish in their bracing songs.”
Their new single ‘Not’ is out now, and album ‘Two Hands’ will release on October 11th, 2019!
