Gwar are an American heavy metal band from Richmond, Virgina that have been active since the mid 80s.
Renowned for their elaborate stage costumes inspired by horror and sci fi movies Gwar are also well known for their full on comedic approach to things that are sometimes considered taboo… and of course excessive amounts of fake blood used during their enthralling theatrical live performances.
