There have been a few changes in the Mr Shiraz camp of late; with the introduction of a new drummer and new guitarist, a new fire has been lit.
The first output from the new line-up is here with the God Hates Mr Shiraz EP. The first single to be taken from the EP was No Prophecy, a track that quickly attracted attention from the press and fans alike, with its heavy groove and controversial video/mini-movie based around the world of religious cults.
Not only did Kerrang! Radio pick up on the track, it also won best single at the recent Pure Rawk Awards and led to Mr Shiraz being added to the forthcoming Camden Rocksfestival in May, alongside the likes of The Blackout, Orange Goblin, Reverend & The Makers, Ginger Wildheart and many more.
God Hates Mr Shiraz is released on 5th April viaWooderson Records and people can pay what they want, even if they don’t want to pay a penny (but we have a feeling you’ll want to be more generous than that).

“Fun loving, booze guzzling, hotel trashing……The Mr Shiraz juggernaut brings the finest in rock, funk, metal and punk!” -Metal Hammer
“Let’s be honest, Mr Shiraz are pretty much the UK’s equivalent to Faith No More. Shiraz take no prisoners and prove themselves to be a band that should be a lot bigger than they are! HTF APPROVE!!” – Hit The Floor Magazine
‘A new found aggression that is impressively progressive ’ -Big Cheese Magazine
About Mr Shiraz: Mr Shiraz have been hard at work since 2005, having been crowned champions at the prestigiousMean Fiddler/Futuresound tournament and went on to play at the illustrious Carling Festival weekend to a packed, enthusiastic audience. The success of the show was evident when they were asked back to play the following year.
Shortly after that, Mr Shiraz were in heavy demand again with European tours including festivals across Belgium, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and more. Soon after the album was launched, the band received airplay across Europe (including Radio 1’s Punk Show & Xfm) and magazines such as Metal Hammer, Big Cheese & Kerrang!were soon giving Mr Shiraz glowing reviews for their adrenaline fuelled live shows, which also led to the band embarking on an extensive six-week tour of the USA.
2014 saw the birth of a very different sounding Mr Shiraz, with a much more mature and driven sound, which has seen live reviews comparing the new Mr Shiraz to The Bronx, Faith No More and Rage Against the Machine.
