This year’s charity is Imara – a really great cause to support as it’s a relatively small regional charity in Nottinghamshire that provides specialist support to children, teenagers, and their families affected by sexual and domestic abuse.
They provide creative arts therapy, post-adoption support, therapeutic services in schools and so much more.
The donation method will differ a little from the JustGiving we did for PASIC last year, as Imara’s preferred method is through GIVE MATCH – Here’s how it works:
Say I donate £20 to the fundraiser.I then get a personalised link that I can share.If two other people use my link to donate (regardless of the amount they give) then my original gift is matched by GiveMatch and effectively doubled to £40.Those two people will each have their own links to share which work in exactly the same way. (Their original gift gets doubled) And so the chain of giving grows!
Pretty cool, right?
The event tickets through EventBrite are free of charge, and are just for managing numbers and to provide an easy way of mass-communicating any updates to participants. 75 places initially.
We ask anyone participating to donate/raise a minimum of £20 between now and the event on Sat, Sept 6th. However, any and all donations are *hugely* welcome if you can’t make the event and just wish to support in a small way.
